Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Stockton, CA is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to support students across multiple grade levels ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to an inclusive learning environment focused on meeting individual student needs.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction and support in math and other core subjects as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all special education laws and district policies
- Valid teaching credential with specialization in Special Education
- Experience teaching students in grades Pre-K through 12, with the ability to adapt instruction across multiple grade levels
- Strong background in math instruction
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
