MINIMUM

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) and skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to successfully perform this job.
  • 48 Semester Units or receipt of the county paraprofessional certificate.
  • A minimum of 1 year program experience as well as 1-year SSS experience preferred.
  • Reliable transportation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise a team of six (SSS), including two SSS trainers, to develop, coordinate staff training, New Hire Trainings (NHT), and Sports Para trainings.
  • Support and train SSS in teaching/modeling/practicing, creating schedules, conducting recaps, growth plans, and professional development in conflict resolution and interpersonal relationship building.
  • Identify training needs through program observation and SSS feedback.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with district partners to review, develop or establish support needed for group leads.
  • Submit weekly recaps and observations of SSS & assigned sites to district, agency supervisor, and ELOP supervisors along with SMART goals for professional development.
  • Periodically evaluate training and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-level training expectations are met.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with SSS to review program concerns, develop strategies, assess training, and provide feedback and professional development.
  • Conduct interviews and support recruiting for potential new SSS.
  • Communicate with District and TCF Specialist for disciplinary support needed of SSS.
  • Respond when needed to a request from the Program Facilitator for assistance with program needs.
  • Mentor and model appropriate job duties for SSS.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned by the supervisor, recognizing that the role may evolve to include new tasks introduced by the company.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work is generally performed in office and at a school site during after-school hours. This person is expected to be on their feet for prolonged periods of time.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS
  • Knowledge of English, composition, spelling, punctuation.
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Ability to employ discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer systems.
  • Ability to understand and correctly execute verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, co-workers, program facilitators, partner agency coordinators, and school site faculty.
  • Ability to visit at least one site for a minimum of 2 hours a day.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends.
Job Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have at least 48 semester college units or successful completion of the Para educator exam.
  • TB test clearance.
  • Must pass DOJ/FBI criminal background check.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Must possess strong classroom and behavioral management skills.
  • Must have experience working with youth and general knowledge base of core elementary subjects.
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with staff, students, parents, and community partners.
License/Certification/Clearance
  • Sexual Harassment Training Certificate (Required, provided by TCF).
  • Mandated Reporter Training Certificate (Required, provided by TCF).
  • First aid and CPR Certification (Preferred).
