School District Classified Substitute – Non-Teaching

WORK EXPERIENCE & MANDATORY EMPLOYMENT DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS A detailed record of ALL work experience is required, specifically disclosing any experience working within a SCHOOL DISTRICT in a CERTIFICATED / CLASSIFIED SETTING.

• High School Diploma, GED Certificate, or Transcripts
• 48 College Semester Units or Paraprofessional Proficiency Exam (NCLB) – SUSD offers the Paraprofessional Proficiency Exam. For more information, please visit:

• California Food Handler Certification (CFHC) – Required for food services roles but if not held, can be obtained later with SUSD after hire through work performance.
• CPR/First Aid Certification – Must be issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or EMS. If not held, can be obtained later with SUSD upon hire after confirmation of TB and Fingerprint clearance.
• Valid California Driver’s License
