OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that purchased products and services meet all applicable customers, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. This role partners closely with Purchasing and Program Engineering to develop suppliers, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Serve as the primary quality point of contact for assigned suppliers.

* Plan, conduct, and document supplier audits, assessments, and surveillance activities

* Initiate, review, and approve supplier corrective actions, including root cause analysis and effectiveness verification

* Drive resolution of supplier quality issues, including nonconformances, escapes, and delivery-related concerns.

* Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and periodic performance evaluation.

* Monitor supplier quality metrics and lead improvement initiatives based on performance trends.

* Review and present non-conformance reports (NCR) to the Corrective Action Board.

* Support QA Director with maintenance and implementation of the overall Quality System.

GENERAL:

* Good working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Working knowledge of GD&T a plus.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Understanding of AS9100 or ISO QMS standards and NADCAP special processes a plus.

* Strong computer background, with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

* Associate - entry level with limited college project experience.

* General - level requires a bachelor's degree plus 5 years' experience or a total of 10 years' experience in the related technology environment.

* Senior level requires a bachelor's degree plus 10 years' experience or a total of 15 years' experience in the related technology environment.
