Applied Aerospace and Defense (AADX) is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Stockton, California. We are looking for a motivated individual with 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in the development of composite products for space applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and project management related to aerospace product development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Plan, coordinate, and drive engineering activities on the development of composite products for space applications, including design, prototyping, and testing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met and technical requirements are achieved.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, project plans, and progress reports.
- Identify and resolve engineering challenges throughout the development cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, or related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in composite product development for space applications.
- Proven track record in managing schedules, budgets, priorities, risks, and technical deliverables on complex engineering projects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in Aerospace Systems Engineering Lifecycle is a plus.
- Experience in High Gain Antennas development is a plus.
- Familiarity of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of space-qualified composite structures and their performance requirements.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of the Department of Defense Systems Engineering Guidebook.
