Job Description:This job is responsible for developing and maintaining a network of business relationships that serve as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities from Bank of America Merrill Financial Advisors. Key responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries and referrals, conducting interviews with prospective borrowers, determining customer financing objectives, and advising customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines, while maintaining regulatory and compliance requirements of the Line of Business.

This position may be responsible for the provision of residential mortgage loans, and as such, is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since this position requires SAFE Act registration, employees are required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check.

Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Responsibilities:

• Manages prospecting clients and the initial structuring processes, while determining customer financial objectives and lending needs
• Negotiates with the client on lending terms, preparing deal justification and related documentation, and advising on related policies and guidelines
• Maintains a network of relationships to drive business referrals for lending opportunities
• Works directly with clients through final loan approval and closing as necessary and ensures data quality of client and deal information
• Provides guidance to effectively challenge and influence the strategic direction and tactical approaches of priority decisions
• Maintains thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and understands the suite of Wealth Management products and services to support business requirements
