Police Officer Trainee
Full-Time (Probationary) – $76,074.96 annually.

- Graduated from a California P.O.S.T. Peace Officer Academy.
- Completed a probationary period with at least one year of service in a California Governmental Law Enforcement Agency.
- If previously employed in another state, no longer than a 60‑day break in service.
- Ability to provide a copy of their California P.O.S.T. certification.
- Physical Ability Test (PAT) and PELLETB written test required; PAT/PELLETB workshop preparation available.
Full-Time (Probationary) – $89,715.36‑$ annually.

- Act as softball and basketball officials for adult sports events.
- Act as basketball, soccer, volleyball, and flag football officials for youth sports events.
- Initiate gameplay, make gameplay decisions with arm signals and verbal announcements.
- Impose penalties for rule violations and control play with whistle and/or other signals.
Eligibility:
Open to individuals attending or graduating from a full or part‑time police academy, or other eligible candidates as per City policy.
