Roles & Responsibilities Assess and document patient nutritional status, needs, and goals
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
Provide patient and family education on therapeutic diets and lifestyle adjustments
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
Monitor and adjust meal plans and interventions based on patient response
Accurately document interventions and outcomes in the EHR
Participate in quality improvement activities and support registry coverage for vacancies
Qualifications Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required
Active California dietitian license or eligibility to obtain licensure in CA
Clinical experience in acute or long-term care settings preferred
Strong communication and patient education skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Current BLS/CPR preferred
Education Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required
Completion of an ACEND-accredited dietetic internship preferred
Master's degree in Nutrition or related field is a plus
Knowledge & Skills Clinical nutrition assessment and therapeutic diet planning
Malnutrition screening and intervention strategies
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Nutrition education techniques for patients and families
Interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
Time management and prioritization in a clinical setting
