Dentoni's Welding Works, a respected family-owned business in the Stockton / Central Valley area, is seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Truck Parts Purchasing Specialist to join our team. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring our shop runs smoothly by sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory for heavy duty truck and trailer parts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and take pride in supporting our technicians and fabrication staff.

- Source and purchase heavy duty truck, trailer, suspension, hydraulic, and fabrication-related parts from OEM and aftermarket vendors
- Maintain and strengthen vendor relationships, including negotiating pricing when possible
- Monitor inventory levels, reorder stock as needed, and manage inventory systems
- Research and locate hard-to-find or obsolete parts to minimize equipment downtime
- Process purchase orders, verify pricing and freight charges, and track incoming shipments
- Coordinate with service writers, technicians, fabrication staff, and management to ensure timely parts availability
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and assist with warranty claims and returns as necessary
- Help improve inventory efficiency and reduce downtime due to parts shortages
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in heavy duty truck parts purchasing or parts department operations
- Strong knowledge of heavy duty truck components, suspension systems, trailer parts, hydraulics, driveline components, brake systems, and fabrication materials
- Experience working with vendors such as Fleet Pride, Weller Truck Parts, Truck Pro, and Vipar Heavy Duty
- Ability to read parts breakdowns and diagrams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and experience using inventory or ERP systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy shop environment
- Preferred: Experience in heavy duty repair shops or fleet operations
- Preferred: Familiarity with dump bodies, compactors, roll-off equipment, and trailer systems
- Preferred: Knowledge of diesel truck platforms and vocational truck equipment
- Preferred: Experience managing inventory counts and cycle counts

Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time, with occasional overtime as needed.
