Site EHS Manager II – Amazon

As the site’s safety champion, you will:

• Lead safety compliance efforts, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, site audits, and analyze incident trends to target improvements.
• Manage first‑aid and emergency response capabilities, ensuring immediate care is always available.
• Build relationships with Operations leadership, influencing positive change and integrating safety into all aspects of business.
• Transform safety data into actionable insights and engage associates in the safety mission.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leverage technology and data analytics, and set new workplace safety benchmarks.

Physical and work‑environment requirements:

• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions (e.g., outside loading departments).
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (if applicable).
• Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.

First‑Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or obtain within 3 weeks of start date) is required.

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience (blue badge/FTE).
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs within manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety experience.

• Experience at a distribution center or manufacturing EHS site with 250+ employees.
• Master’s degree.
• Implemented lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic organization.
• Certified Safety Professional.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
• Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
