Working Shift: Day Shift

Hours : 5:00 am - 4:30 pm. May vary depending on production.

The basic objective of this position is to segregate and palletize packed boxes of fruit onto pallets in accordance to established specifications, under the direction of the Ice House Lead.

• Able to lift 30 pounds overhead repetitively over work shift.
• Ability to communicate well with others.

Requirements

• Separate and stack packed boxes
• Set up and prepare pallets to stack packed boxes on
• Maintain a clean work area, free of safety hazards.

Product is received from the packing lines and set up for forklift removal to the Shipping Department.

Physical requirements:

• Standing/walking, crouching, stooping, twisting, balancing, leg/foot use, reaching, overhead extension, handling, pushing/pulling (30 lbs.), lifting/carrying (30 lbs.)
• Senses:
  Speaking, hearing, sight (far, near, color)

Environmental factors:

Work area is inside in 35 degree cold temperature rooms. Area is well ventilated with low noise, well lit with low dust.

Safety factors:

Hazards encountered include lifting packed boxes, roller belt (chain), cold temperature, forklift traffic.

This position can encompass other than the specified duties listed above. If necessary, alternative duties can be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor.
