Description

POSITION STARTS MID APRIL TO JUNE /POSICIÓN COMIENZA A MEDIADOS DE ABRIL A JUNIO

The primary function of this position is to inspect cherries for defects according to the specifications provided, i.e. color, shape, bruises, softness, grade, sunburn, and punctures. As the fruit moves across the sorting table, the worker will sort out defective cherries and reach approximately 14" to place the cherries into one of the cull chutes located in the center of the sorting or side of the table.

Additionally, the worker removes any leaves or debris from the fruit. The worker will also be assigned to place and position fruit in the correct pack/box in an efficient manner, protecting the fruit at all times.

La función principal de este puesto es inspeccionar las cerezas en busca de defectos de acuerdo con las especificaciones proporcionadas, es decir, color, forma, magulladuras, suavidad, calidad, quemaduras solares y pinchazos. A medida que la fruta se mueve a través de la mesa de clasificación, el trabajador separará las cerezas defectuosas y alcanzará aproximadamente 14" para colocar las cerezas en uno de los tres conductos de selección ubicados en el centro de la mesa de clasificación o al costado de la mesa de clasificación.

Además, el trabajador retira cualquier hojas o restos de la fruta, así como también se asignará al trabajador la colocación y posicionamiento de la fruta en el paquete/caja correcta de manera eficiente, protegiendo la fruta en todo momento.

• Knowledge of fruit sizes, grades, variety and packs/boxes, desired
• Communicate well with others
• Follow verbal and written directions
• Ability to do highly repetitive physical work, paying attention to detail
• Fruit packing experience desired
