NuWest Travel Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Level III for a travel nursing job in Stockton, California.

13 weeks - 36 hours per week
- Shift:
12 hours, nights - Employment Type:

Important Notes:
- All NICU travelers must float to Peds and Postpartum
- Must take a full assignment in Postpartum, including couplet care
- All MyJourney modules must be completed before arrival — no exceptions
- First to float
- 2-shift unit orientation - during day shift
- BLS (AHA)
- NRP
- PALS
- Strong IV skills required
- 2 years Minimum recent NICU experience (Level III)
- Cerner experience required (no exceptions)
- Active CA RN license on hand - no pending license accepted
- Level III NICU
- 30 beds (average census 22)
- Ratios:
- NICU: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
- Peds: 1:4
- No ECMO
- No neonatal surgeries
- 22 weeks to term
- High volume preemies
- Sepsis and respiratory cases
- Drug withdrawal babies
- Syphilis exposure
- Very busy, high-acuity unit
- Large volume of IVs and TPN
- Must be comfortable working with surrogates
