Introduction:
This examination is being given to fill one vacancy with San Joaquin Health Centers and to establish an eligible list to fill future vacancies.

The following incentives and bonuses may be available for eligible new hires. Incentives and bonuses are subject to approval by Human Resources:

• Vacation Accrual Rate:
  San Joaquin County vacation accrual rate consistent with the candidate's total years of public service.
• Sick Leave:
  Credit for actual non-reimbursable sick leave hours from the last agency (up to 160 hours).
• New Hire Retention Bonus: $2,000 upon completion of first year; $1,000 upon completion of third year; $3,000 upon completion of sixth year.

Typical Duties include clinical responsibilities across primary care, family planning, prenatal and pediatric care, health management, and coordination with physician resources and community agencies, as described in the original posting.

Education: Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner training program at an accredited college or university or certified program.

Experience: Two years as a Nurse Practitioner.

Licenses & Certificates: Current Registration as a nurse and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of California; current furnishing license through the State of California, Board of Registered Nursing;
National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

Special

Qualification:

Credentialing and privileges through the San Joaquin General Hospital CIDP within 90 days of appointment; eligible to be certified to job vacancies in the area of specialization.

Knowledge: Family medicine procedures, medical terminology, basic laboratory procedures, disease prevention, maternal and child health, and related subjects as in the original posting.

Ability: Elicit medical histories, perform exams, follow treatment protocols, communicate effectively, train staff, work independently with high-risk clients, and interpret laboratory data.
