You want to own supplier quality end to end — audits, corrective actions, qualification, and metrics — not just push nonconformance paperwork. This is a role where you're the quality authority suppliers answer to, on hardware that's flown on customer platforms for decades. $95k–$120k base + bonus. 9/80 Work Schedule.

Founded over 60 years ago and based in Stockton, California, we are a Tier 1 aerospace and defense manufacturer building flight hardware for NASA, DoD, and commercial space programs. Much of what we produce has been flying on our customers' platforms for decades. Our work spans structures, thermal systems, precision machining, and complex assemblies for launch vehicles, satellites, and defense platforms, making us one of the more capable independent suppliers in the region.

- Own supplier quality for purchased products and services that feed flight hardware programs, partnering closely with Purchasing and Program Engineering to develop suppliers, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
- Serve as the primary quality point of contact for assigned suppliers.
- Plan, conduct, and document supplier audits, assessments, and surveillance activities.
- Initiate, review, and approve supplier corrective actions, including root cause analysis and effectiveness verification.
- Drive resolution of supplier quality issues, including nonconformances, escapes, and delivery‑related concerns.
- Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and periodic performance evaluation; monitor supplier quality metrics and lead improvement initiatives.
- Review and present non‑conformance reports (NCRs) to the Corrective Action Board.
- Supplier quality experience in an aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environment; years determines levels.
- BS in an engineering or related technical field.
- Associate through senior levels considered.
- Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 (GD&T); strong written and verbal communication; proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- AS9100 or ISO quality management systems
- NADCAP special processes
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA / CAPA)
- Supplier audits and surveillance
