Job Summary

Coordinates and leads the activities for designated work area. Performs a variety of quality control tests on products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.

• Perform inspections of finished or in-process goods to ensure work instructions are met
• Ensure products and services meet required specifications
• Use required gaging instruments
• Complete gage calibration when needed
• Complete first piece inspection if needed (i.e., checks that items produced pass quality control requirements)
• Record statistical data and inputs data entry
• Analyze data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards
• Recommend modifications to existing, or suggests new, standards, methods and procedures.
• Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to subordinate group
• May provide employee discipline and review performance
• Implement process improvement initiatives as needed
• Ensure that department output meets organizational expectation
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Perform work under minimal supervision
• Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter
• 2 to 4 years of experience
• Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group

Pay Range: $25 - $32 hourly
