Vital Research is seeking a temporary Field Coordinator to support the successful execution of large-scale survey research projects. This temporary role is critical to ensuring field operations run efficiently, safely, and on schedule. The Field Coordinator serves as a key liaison between Field Interviewers, internal project teams, and clients while coordinating field staff, managing logistics, and resolving day-to-day operational needs to support high-quality project delivery.
This temporary position runs from September 1, 2026, through January 22, 2027.
What You’ll Do- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day field operations to ensure research projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to project requirements.
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing guidance for Field Interviewers and other field staff on project protocols, systems, and best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field staff, providing direction, resolving issues, reinforcing quality standards, and supporting successful data collection.
- Coordinate interview scheduling, field assignments, travel logistics, and staffing coverage to ensure efficient field operations.
- Monitor project progress using Microsoft Access and reporting tools, tracking milestones, staff performance, hours, and operational needs.
- Review field performance, provide feedback, and elevate concerns related to productivity, quality, or project deliverables.
- Support client communication within assigned territories by providing responsive customer service, updates, and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with project protocols, confidentiality requirements, HIPAA regulations, and data security standards.
- Collaborate with Research Managers and cross-functional teams to identify improvements and support overall project success.
- Bachelor’s degree in social science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of coordination experience.
- Prior experience with research or survey-based fieldwork.
- Available to work in-office Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Pacific Time (up to 40 hours per week, as needed).
- One year of supervisory experience or experience supporting or informally leading project activities.
- Previous experience leading teams.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare terminology.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Access and Microsoft Teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, actively listen, lead, and resolve conflict professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and high‑quality work.
