Location:Acklam, Coulby Newham, Great Ayton, Ingleby Barwick, Guisborough, Linthorpe, Marske, Norton, Redcar, Saltburn, Skelton, Stokesley, Thornaby & Yarm
Time Requirement: Flexible to suit you – Our shops are generally open from 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday. Time commitment and availability can be discussed and agreed with the Shop Manager. Where possible, we ask that all volunteers commit to a minimum of 3 hours per week.

Role
Summary:
As a volunteer cashier, you will be at the heart of our operations, engaging with customers, handling payments, and expressing gratitude to our generous donors. Your responsibilities will include operating the till, answering customer inquiries, promoting Gift Aid, and collaborating with fellow volunteers to ensure efficient operations. This is a customer-focused role where you’ll have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of people and make a positive impact.

- Operating the till and handling payments
- Assisting with administrative tasks and reception duties

As a Cash Desk Volunteer you will complete the following training:
- Teesside Hospice mandatory training
- Volunteer induction training
- Any other training identified as appropriate to the role
Your first line of support and for any enquiries will be the store manager to support you in your role.
CommunicationsThe store manager will regularly provide you with any information updates, training opportunities and upcoming events appropriate to your role.
