Salary Range: $70,304.00 To $72,000.00 Annually

The Turner’s Outdoors man is looking for a Store Manager to be located in Stockton. The Store Manager is the business and cultural leader of the store team, responsible for achieving sales goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability growth as well as understanding, practicing, and being a strong proponent of the Turner’s brand and the company culture. The Store Manager is a retail professional role model in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service, who possesses the ability to teach these skills to the team and ultimately lead by example.

• Manages a staff of Assistant Store Managers and non-exempt employees
• Provides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanship
• Ensures customers enjoy a full service and high value shopping experience
• Accountable to meet budgeted sales by setting daily, weekly and monthly sales goals while effectively managing labor costs and minimizing shrinkage
• Effectively advertises and promotes Turner’s Outdoors man products and events
• Promotes a teaming environment
• Schedules employee shifts, and break times in accordance with state and federal laws
• Distributes work assignments to employees
• Trains, motivates, supervises and develops employees
• Responsible for all aspects of store operations either directly or through the delegation of staff including office management, supervision of accurate cash handling, and register functions, maintain and track proper merchandise stock levels, displays merchandise effectively, maintains and ensures completion of firearms paperwork, achieves firearms inventory integrity, adheres to firearm compliance laws, regulations and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned which includes but not limited to covering employee breaks and/or lunches in other departments as needed

• High school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred.
• Fluent in English
• Must have at least 2 years of prior retail and sales experience in a supervisory or managerial role
• Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred.
• Legally eligible to work in a firearm environment.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Certificate of Eligibility Required
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment.
• Requests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods.

• Responsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Must be able to use both hands when handling a firearm
• Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift

• Occasional travel is required (approximately 20% of the time-participating in events, training seminars, corporate meetings or opening new store locations)

• Hours-at least 45 hours per week are required, varied
• Requests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods
