Business Development Manager – EPC & Engineered Systems

$140000 - $180000 per year | Tustin, CA | Remote | Permanent

We are a global engineering and manufacturing company that designs and builds custom water and wastewater treatment systems for industrial customers.

Our projects are highly engineered and built around each customer's application. We work across industries including power generation, oil & gas, chemical processing, manufacturing and other industrial markets.

We are looking for someone who knows how to build relationships inside EPC organizations, uncover upcoming projects and turn those relationships into new business.

• Build and expand relationships with EPC firms throughout North America.
• Develop relationships with engineers, project managers, procurement teams and other key contacts within those organizations.
• Stay close to EPC customers to learn about projects before the RFQ is released.
• Turn existing approved-vendor relationships into new project opportunities.
• Sell custom, highly engineered systems, with typical project values of $400K–$3M.
• Work closely with internal engineering teams to understand customer requirements and develop the right solution.
• Stay involved throughout the sales process—from early project discussions and specifications through RFQs, proposals, negotiations and award.
• Develop plans for growing key EPC accounts and identifying new opportunities.

• Experience developing business with EPC firms.
• A track record of selling custom or highly engineered equipment/systems, rather than commodity products.
• Experience with larger Cap Ex projects, ideally in the $400K–$3M+ range.
• Someone who is comfortable creating opportunities, not just responding to RFQs that come in.
• Experience selling into industrial markets such as water/wastewater, power, oil & gas, chemical processing, environmental equipment or other process industries.
• Industrial water/wastewater experience is helpful, but not required.
• Comfortable working with both technical and commercial contacts throughout a long sales cycle.
