We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Food Scientist to join our team in the Accounting + Finance industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and improving our food products while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in Food Science, Nutrition, or Culinary Science to apply their skills in a unique and challenging role. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the food industry, including knowledge of GFCO, Paleo, NGPV, USDA, Culinology, Culinary Science, Food Science, nutrition, Culinary School certification, meat science, HACCP, food safety, GMP, and keto food products.
Responsibilities- Develop and improve food products while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Conduct research to determine the nutritional value, safety, and quality of food.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative food products.
- Perform sensory evaluations and shelf‑life testing for food products.
- Maintain knowledge of current food industry trends and regulations.
- Ensure products meet GFCO, Paleo, NGPV, USDA, Culinology, Culinary Science, Food Science, nutrition, Culinary School certification, meat science, HACCP, food safety, GMP, and keto food product standards.
- Analyze food content to determine levels of vitamins, fat, sugar, and protein.
- Work with operations to improve existing processes and develop new ones that enhance product quality and profitability.
- Ensure all products are consistent with company and industry quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Culinary Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food science or a related field.
- Knowledge of GFCO, Paleo, NGPV, USDA, Culinology, Culinary Science, Food Science, nutrition, Culinary School certification, meat science, HACCP, food safety, GMP, and keto food products.
- Strong understanding of food industry trends and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Must be detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
