This is a full-time, on-site Roofer role based in Stockton, CA. The Roofer will install, repair, and replace various types of roofs, including preparing surfaces, laying materials, and ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing. Daily tasks include measuring and cutting roofing materials, installing insulation, flashing, and underlayment, and inspecting existing roofs to identify damage or potential issues. The role involves safely working at heights, operating hand and power tools, and following all safety protocols and company procedures.
The Roofer will collaborate with crew members, maintain a clean and organized job site, and communicate progress and any concerns to the supervisor.
- Proficiency in roofing installation and repair, including experience with different roof types and materials.
- Experience with carpentry tasks related to roofing, such as framing, decking, and structural repairs.
- Knowledge of insulation installation and best practices for energy efficiency and moisture control.
- Ability to work safely and confidently at height, following fall protection and ladder safety guidelines.
- Skills in waterproofing techniques, including proper use of membranes, sealants, and flashing systems.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality workmanship and job site safety.
- Previous roofing or construction experience preferred; relevant certifications or training are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Stockton, CA.
