Position: Early Childhood Wrap Services FA *Spanish Required
POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Parent Coaching Program Manager, this position functions as a direct link between children and families in accordance with the designated funding contract. This position provides intensive Family Strengthening Services which can include but not be limited to any and/or all the following: home visitation services following the Parents as Teachers (PAT) Curriculum,comprehensive assessment of children and families using the Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQs) and Parents Assessment of the Protective Factors (PAPF) tools, referrals to community resources, and monthly facilitation of group connections.

In addition, this position is responsible for outreach/recruitment as well as intake and enrollment of children and families into the program. This position will conduct weekly home visits to the families enrolled in the program and will build/maintain a caseload of 20 families.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Maintain family case files on a weekly basis and assist with any related statistical and/or evaluation components.

Maintain all tracking spreadsheets on a weekly basis and assist with any related statistical and/or evaluation components.

Provide intense home visitation to assigned families maintaining fidelity of designated curriculums when applicable.

Attend meetings as required by CAPC and the contract.

Provide concrete activities and education to strengthen parent and child attachment and bring the child into focus.

Teach and role model problem solving skills to enhance family functioning and assist in setting and achieving family goals.

Support families in providing a healthy and safe environment for children.

Coach parents to act as advocates for themselves and their children.

Provide developmental and behavioral assessments of children.

Establish trust with families through family centered support and encouragement.

Have a solid working knowledge of all the rules, regulations, and laws that apply to the contracts.

Promote and maintain a sense of teamwork between assigned department and other CAPC staff, community partner agencies, and other individuals relevant to the successful case management of each case.

Network with other community agencies and participate when requested, in community and health fairs and other events designed to promote CAPC programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major in social services, child development or a closely related field, preferred.

Experience:

Two years of relevant experience working with children and families. Experience and enthusiasm for working with and supporting families; especially parents/caregivers.

Language Requirement:
Fluency in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is required. This position regularly communicates with Spanish-speaking children, families, community members, and/or employees, and the ability to communicate effectively in both languages is an essential function of the position.
