Are you a skilled and experienced truck driver looking for a new opportunity to hit the open road and deliver goods across the country? AMBSIMS & Associates Corp is seeking dedicated Over-the-Road Truck Drivers to join our team in Stockton, California. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our clients.
Responsibilities:- Operate and drive trucks with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) to transport goods over long distances
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Document and log work/rest periods, miles spent driving, and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Valid Class A CDL
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Clean driving record
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
