Supervisor, Operations

Shift

1st Shift – Sun‑Wed 5:00am–3:30pm.

Supervisor of operations overseeing activities including ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in a warehouse or yard.

• Review inbound appointment log and open order report each day to plan work activities.
• Plan inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
• Determine staffing needs based on workload and schedule staff accordingly.
• Assign workers to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
• Review and update operational procedures and ensure they are communicated and understood by warehouse associates.
• Track productivity and evaluate performance by individual, function, and department.
• Work with Inventory Control to achieve highest inventory accuracy.
• Manage payroll for the department.
• Advise employees on handling items received, stored, shipped, equipment use, and related problems.
• Trace item history to determine reasons for inventory discrepancies and recommend remedial actions.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Issue written and oral instructions.
• Ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.

• Directly supervise 20+ employees in Operations.
• Conduct hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewarding, discipline, complaints, and problem resolution per company policies and applicable laws.

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

$65,000 – $70,304 (anticipated starting salary). Final salary will be determined in accordance with applicable laws.
