Position: Team Leader - EBD Children's Residential on Trent
Team Leader – Children’s Residential (3-Bed EBD Home – Low Risk)

📍 Stoke-on-Trent
💷 £35,366.93 per year
⏰ 40 hours per week | 2 on / 4 off rota (includes sleep-in shifts)

We are recruiting two Team Leaders:

* 1 x Permanent

* 1 x 12-Month Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover – potential for permanent opportunity)

This 3-bed home supports young people with low-risk EBD and offers a stable, nurturing alternative to foster care, with longer-term placements focused on structure and positive outcomes. You will report to the Registered Manager and lead shifts within the home.

The Role

Working a 2 on / 4 off rota including sleep-ins, you will:

* Lead shifts and deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care

* Supervise and support Residential Support Workers

* Contribute to care planning, safeguarding and risk management

* Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance

* Build strong relationships with families and professionals

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

* Minimum 1 year residential childcare experience

* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)

* Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation

* Understanding of trauma-informed practice

* Ability to lead shifts and maintain professional boundaries

* Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

* Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification

* Supervisory experience

* Knowledge of Ofsted standards

* Overtime paid at £13.67 + ¼ enhancement
