The Role As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be a key member of the leadership team, supporting the Deputy Manager in the day-to-day running of the home and providing guidance and mentorship to Residential Support Workers.

You'll help create a safe, stable and nurturing environment where children and young people feel supported, valued and empowered to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities  
Supporting and supervising Residential Support Workers
Acting as a role model and mentor to the wider team
Deputising for the Deputy Manager when required
Promoting the safety, wellbeing and development of children and young people
Supporting the implementation of care plans and behaviour support strategies
Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
Encouraging independence, resilience and life skills development
Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and incidents
Maintaining high-quality records, reports and documentation
Supporting rota planning and team performance
Working collaboratively with social workers, education providers and healthcare professionals
Supporting compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Home Standards  About You

We're looking for a dedicated and resilient childcare professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
You will bring experience, leadership qualities and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Essential Requirements  
NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare, Children and Young People's Workforce, Health & Social Care, or equivalent
Minimum 2 years' experience within Children's Residential Care
Previous experience supporting, mentoring or supervising staff
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Ability to manage challenging behaviours using positive and therapeutic approaches
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Compassionate, resilient and child-focused approach  Build a Career That Makes a Difference
