ContractFull‑time, Permanent
SalaryOTE up to £45,320 (Uncapped); between £31,000 to £38,000 basic depending on qualifications, plus £3,000 Productivity Bonus and Time Saved Bonus Scheme.
Hours40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, plus one Saturday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm every three weeks.
BMW Stoke is recruiting a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle health checks, conducting services, and performing additional repairs.
Responsibilities- Carry out pre‑delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
- Perform checks in line with manufacturers guidelines.
- Fit any additional accessories requested by the customer.
- Conduct vehicle health checks and report further work required.
- Check lights, tyre pressure, mechanical and electrical components.
- Complete minor repairs on new and used vehicles.
- Perform basic diagnosis in mechanical and electrical work.
- Carry out vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests.
- Execute additional repairs once authorised by the customer.
- Handle warranty repairs per manufacturer’s guidelines and complete relevant write‑ups.
- Take the customer’s vehicle out for a road test to ensure faults are rectified.
- Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non‑brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence. Previous brand experience is desirable but not essential – brand accreditation training will be provided. Diagnostic, MOT and EV experience is also desirable.
