Diagnostic Technician / Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification, or Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with 3 years experience, for a growing independent vehicle service and repair business, working on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles. Skills and experience Minimum Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Mechanic is ideal, although brand-qualified Technicians will also be considered.
Job responsibilities for the Diagnostic Technician role Carry out complex diagnostic, warranty, and repair work in line with manufacturer standards. Use diagnostic tools and software to identify, investigate, and resolve hard-to-find vehicle faults. Complete EV work, where qualified, and carry out hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently. Support accurate digital write-ups, job card completion, and clear recording of technical findings and parts requirements.
Assist Apprentice Technicians with development where required, supporting a high-performing workshop team. Maintain high standards of safety, quality, first-time fix performance, and customer satisfaction.
