We're seeking an Electrical Technician to join a successful and growing engineering business based in Coleshill. The Role You'll be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, inspecting and repairing a range of electrical and electro-mechanical products. Working from electrical schematics and technical drawings, you'll ensure products are built and tested to the highest standards before dispatch. You'll also support colleagues with technical queries, assist with troubleshooting activities and contribute to process improvements across the workshop.

Key Responsibilities Assembly, wiring and configuration of electrical and electro-mechanical products Fault finding, testing and repair of equipment Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring diagrams Carrying out final inspections and quality checks Diagnosing and resolving technical issues Supporting internal teams with technical advice and product knowledge Developing and following standard operating procedures Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping Supporting stock counts, workshop organisation and continuous improvement initiatives Participating in site safety activities and training programmes What We're Looking For Essential Experience in electrical assembly, machine wiring or panel wiring Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings Experience working on electro-mechanical equipment Excellent attention to detail and quality standards Strong problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork skills GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/5 or above) or equivalent Desirable Engineering apprenticeship, HNC, NVQ or similar qualification Time-served Electrical or Mechanical Fitter background Manufacturing or industrial engineering experience Knowledge of quality, Lean or 5S environments Experience mentoring or training colleagues Benefits £40,000 starting salary 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Christmas and New Year shutdown 4% matched pension contribution Life assurance scheme Employee Assistance Programme Paid attendance for health appointments Flexible working arrangements where possible Service recognition awards Free onsite parking PPE and workwear provided Shorter working day on Fridays Ongoing training and development opportunities Location Based in Coleshill with excellent access to the M42, M6 and wider Midlands motorway network.
