HV​/LV Electrician

The HV/LV Electrician role is a full-time, on-site position based in England, United Kingdom. The electrician will install, maintain, and repair high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems across power and utilities sites, including new connections and private networks. Daily tasks include carrying out testing and inspection, diagnosing faults, performing planned and reactive maintenance, and ensuring all work meets relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

The role also involves reading and interpreting electrical drawings, collaborating with project engineers and other trades, and completing accurate documentation and reports. The successful candidate will support project delivery from initial installation through commissioning and ongoing service, while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.

• Strong technical skills in HV/LV installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and testing within power and utilities environments.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices, industry regulations, and standards relevant to ICP, DNO/IDNO, private networks, and National Grid projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation, with accurate record-keeping and reporting.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills for working with engineers, site managers, and other trades on busy operational sites.
• Recognized electrical qualification or apprenticeship (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent), with relevant certifications such as 18th Edition or similar.
• Experience working on utility or industrial electrical installations is highly desirable.
• Capability to work safely in varied site conditions, including adherence to permit-to-work systems and use of appropriate PPE.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different project locations as required.
