The Forecast Analyst II is responsible for the market level forecasting of targets and fill rate achievement.
Responsibilities- Develop the demand consensus forecast for finished goods and/or parts & supplies, utilizing the statistical forecast as the baseline and incorporating new business, promotions, external market factors, and new product introductions.
- Works with sales and marketing input to the strategic inventory segmentation, stock/non-stock classification, acceptable lead time expectations.
- Collaborates on executable inventory levels to meet customer service level expectations while staying within working capital plans.
- Maintains the configuration, parameters, and key figures in the Demand Planning system and recommend & implement improvements to the process.
- Assists in determining the best metrics to use to provide the most accurate representation of the forecast.
- May develop new and innovative methods of analyzing data.
- Develops proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to forecasting.
- Fine tune forecast model parameters and relevant hierarchies.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires at least 1 year related experience.
- Requires a strong understanding of complex statistical methodologies.
- Familiar with the impact of sales initiatives on the variability of volume.
- Requires knowledge of Supply Chain Management.
- Requires developing expertise in forecasting and configuring demand planning systems.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Strong skills with SAP or another advanced planning system.
Compensation
:
This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $64,000-$84,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.
Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
