Under supervision of the Principal and/or Assistant Principal, teaches and instructs students in academic subject matter, along with social, behavioral, and other educational or related skill areas; plans, develops, organizes, implements, and assesses a comprehensive educational program for students; assists in other school programs as assigned; creates a supportive and flexible program and environment conducive to learning and personal growth according to each student’s ability and interests.
Encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional lifting, five (5) to ten (10) pounds
- Frequent sitting and standing
- Occasional bending and squatting.
We are looking for someone interested in along-term subposition for a 4th grade classroomat Stone Mountain Elementary from approximately
October 18th through February 1st.
We use en Vision and Wonders for our Tier 1 resources. We have a strong team and amazing students.

Teaching License, or 5-Year Substitute Authorization - Three (3) professional references, minimum of (1) supervisor, include name, phone number and an e-mail address for each reference (if not currently in DCSD Sub Pool).

- Passing results for any PLACE or PRAXIS tests taken (required for possible HQ verification)

- All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
This position is eligible for voluntary 401(k), 403(b) and 457 retirement plans.
