Commercial Engineering Supervisor
Location:
Stone Mountain, GA – 100% onsite.
- Provides leadership in collaboration with other engineering functions including design, process, production, quality, and reliability.
- Oversees project schedules and technical execution to ensure goals and milestones are met.
- Ensures all engineering activities adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
- Reviews and creates design specifications for a variety of complex components and systems.
- Analyzes advanced design problems using engineering and mathematical principles.
- Makes design changes and prepares preliminary sketches for guidance of layout drafters.
- Coordinates major engineering projects.
- Consults with other engineers concerning design specifications, manufacturing processes, legal, safety, and government requirements.
- Leads, mentors, directs, evaluates performance, and develops team members.
- Analyzes design methods to ensure performance, time, and cost goals are reached and implements designs that incorporate DFMA principles.
- Ensures procedures and processes efficiently utilize materials and personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- At least 5 years of related work experience;
Refrigeration or HVAC preferred. - Excellent leadership ability with strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and DFMA principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
- Expert understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Experience with analytical and CAD software.
This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range is $115,000 – $151,000 annually, based on geography, skills, education, and experience. Employees are eligible for an annual bonus according to the company plan and are not eligible for overtime.
