• Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage, payment options, and available financial assistance programs.
• Educate patients about their financial responsibilities related to their care.
• Support patients in enrolling in Medicaid, sliding fee scales, and other community resources.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to facilitate smooth financial processes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient financial records.
• Stay informed about changes in insurance policies, government programs, and community resources relevant to patient care.

• Proven experience in financial counseling, social work, or related healthcare support roles.
• Strong understanding of insurance plans, Medicaid, and financial assistance programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
• Ability to explain complex financial information clearly and empathetically.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and patient financial services is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in social work, healthcare administration, or related fields is a plus.
