Job Description:
The Functional Consultant will gather and analyze business requirements and provide system design while implementing system solutions for various business initiatives as part of the Munis implementation.
Job Summary:
The consultant will work with DCSD departments (HR, Benefits & Payroll) and internal stakeholders to identify and understand the functional or business requirements. They must analyze and solve complex system problems as part of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. The Functional lead must also facilitate a team to design document control procedures that can significantly reduce process cycle time and cost.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the subject matter expert (SME) activity during data validation and parallels while resolving errors and issues.
- Analyze and solve complex system problems as part of the overall ERP development and support process.
- Develop ERP structure using requirements such as fit/gap analysis, scope document, as-is and to-be processes.
- If needed, conduct system testing, integration testing and drive the UAT session with the end-users and process owners.
- Working with the vendor, execute testing(parallels) making system solution is working in preparation of go-live Plan and execute, legacy data migration, conversions, production cut-over, application go-Live and postproduction activities.
- Create functional specification documents (FSD) for the features making it more readable using the VISIO diagram representations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, or its equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in ERPs and SaaS applications
- Strong analytical abilities and self-motivated individual
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage one’s own time to meet project deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication as well as project management skills.
- Ability to translate and communicate technical concepts to both technical personnel and non-IT business users.
- Knowledge of project and program management methodologies, associated processes and tools, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
