Now hiring for a Piping Technician on first shift (5:00am – 1:30pm).
Under direct supervision, the person in this position fabricates, cuts, and brazes pipes based on general specifications to carry refrigerants.
Position responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Fabricates pipe systems of various shapes, sizes, and pressures.
- Ensures proper placement and alignment according to general blueprints and instructions.
- Brazes fabricated pipes to make the specified product work as designed.
- Performs a variety of assembly, fabrication, production, and operator tasks.
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of brazing. Basic understanding of data charts, specification diagrams, and work orders. Able to look at general diagram and determine fabrication needs to make product work as engineered. Able to determine required equipment and settings. Requires precision control and dexterity. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods. May be required to take related training and/or pass skills tests required for this level.
Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
