The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic organization in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing sector that is dedicated to delivering safe, high- quality food products client, a leading producer of ready‑to‑eat and shelf‑stable foods, seeks a Production Manager to drive operational excellence, champion food safety, and lead a skilled workforce on the Stone Mountain facility. This role offers the chance to influence process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and shape a high‑performing production environment.
Responsibilities:- Oversee daily production and operational activities, including production scheduling and resource allocation.
- Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and ensure efficient workflow.
- Implement and refine procedures to guarantee consistent production of quality products.
- Estimate, review, and control production costs while monitoring process controls.
- Lead, motivate, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with maintenance to address equipment problems and breakdowns promptly.
- Review QA and production records, and manage corrective actions from food safety audits.
- Maintain regulatory compliance by staying current with standards, documentation, and audit requirements.
Skills:
- 5+ years of plant management experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on experience with portion control and high‑speed packaging equipment.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, SQF, FSMA, GMP) and audit processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skills:
- Experience with aseptic, retort, and hot/cold fill processing technologies.
- Familiarity with FDA, USDA, and GFSI compliance frameworks.
- Background in co‑packing, contract manufacturing, or condiment/sauce production.
- Knowledge of CAPA, corrective action planning, and audit readiness strategies.
- Understanding of sanitation programs and allergen control measures.
