This position is responsible for leading and coordinating all activities of QA Technicians on 3rd shift while providing technical guidance and support to production departments.

• Accomplish quality assurance objectives by training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and evaluating job performance.
• Assist in achieving company objectives by communicating daily quality issues to ensure that any issues are corrected as quickly as possible.
• Maintain quality assurance program by initiating and reviewing policies and procedures.
• Support operations in ensuring that training, testing, and new product development is done in compliance with applicable USDA, customer, and company standards.
• Ensure federal and state compliance with all USDA and company Food Safety and QA policies and procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. The position will be frequent on the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required.

Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present.
