The Water Meter Replacement Technicianremovesandinstallssmall -diameterresidentialwatermeters,typicallyrangingfrom5/8inchto1inch.

Thispositionsupportsthemodernizationofutilityinfrastructurebyreplacingmanual-readmeterswith

Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) or Automated Meter Reading (AMR) technology.

Thisisahigh-volume,field-basedrolerequiringefficiency,attentiontodetail,mechanicalability,accuratedataentry,andprofessionalinteractionwithcustomers.

• Removeexistingresidentialwatermetersandinstallnewhigh-accuracy meters.
• Ensuremetersareproperlyaligned,correctly oriented,andconnectedwithoutleaks.
• Completetherequirednumberofmeterreplacementspershiftwhilemaintainingsafety,accuracy,and quality.
• Recordmeterserialnumbers,finalreadingsfromremovedmeters,andinitialreadingsfromnewlyinstalledmeters.
• Usehandheldtablets,GPS-enabled devices,andmobilework-ordersoftwaretodocumentcompletedwork.
• Performpressureandleaktestsafterinstallationtoconfirmthatwaterservicehasbeensafelyrestored.
• Identifyandreportissuessuchasleakingvalves,corroded pipes,damagedmeterboxes,orobstructedaccess.
• Cleanmeterboxes,securelyreplacelids,andleavesurroundingpropertyinitsoriginalcondition.
• Maintainahighlevelofdata-entryaccuracybecausemeterinformationdirectlyaffectscustomerbilling.
• Notifyresidentsprofessionallybeforetemporarilyshuttingoffwaterservice.
• Answerbasiccustomerquestionsaboutthemeter-upgrade process.
• Maintainacleanuniform,vehicle,tools,andworkarea.
• Followallcompanysafetypoliciesandwearrequiredpersonalprotectiveequipment.
• Performotherrelateddutiesasassigned.

• Valid driver’slicensewithacleandrivingrecordrequired.
• Constructionorutilityexperiencepreferred.
• Basicknowledgeofresidentialplumbingsystems,water-service configurations,andbackflowpreventionpreferred.
• Mechanicalaptitudeandexperienceusinghandtools,includingpipewrenches,tongue-and-groove pliers,andwiresnips.
• Abilitytoworkwithcopper,PVC,galvanized steel,andothercommonpipingmaterials.
• AbilitytooperateGPS-enabledhandhelddevices,tablets,andwork-ordermanagementsoftware.
• Strongattentiontodetailandcommitmenttoaccuraterecordkeeping.
• Professionalcommunicationandcustomer-service skills.
• Abilitytoworkindependentlywhilemeetingdailyproductionexpectations.
• Willingnesstotravelandworkovertimewhenrequired.

• Crewrollout Monday through Friday
