Under general supervision, maintains behavioral discipline and focuses on the special needs of students being transported on DeKalb County School District (DCSD) buses. Essential functions include overseeing students and/or special education students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions, enforcing rules, regulations, and laws to maintain safety during transport, and ensuring the safety of special education students during transport, loading and unloading from buses.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
Education and/or experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Please have your institution/school send your transcript electronically to official transcripts. Minimum of six (6) months years of experience working with students with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of 2-way radio communication preferred. Reliable transportation required.
Certificates, licenses, permits:
Must have or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
