The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students across all grade levels at a public elementary, middle, and/or high school. This role focuses on developing individualized learning plans, monitoring and assessing student progress, and collaborating with educators and families to support both academic and social growth. The position is partially inclusive, serving approximately 20 students, with para educator support in the classroom, and requires a Moderate license.
The assignment runs from now through June 12th.
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) certification
- Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
- Bachelor s degree required;
Master s preferred - Designs & delivers individualized instruction for students with disabilities
- Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
- Classroom experience Monday Friday, structured setting
- Experience with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchair bound preferred
