YOUR IMPACT

The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to mostly K-5 students at a public elementary school. This role focuses on developing individualized learning plans, monitoring and assessing student progress, and collaborating with educators and families to support both academic and social growth. Some of the student services are provided in the classroom, and some are in a small pull‑out group.

WHAT

YOU NEED:
  • Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) certification
  • Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
  • Bachelor's degree required;
    Master's preferred
  • Designs & delivers individualized instruction for students with disabilities
  • Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
  • Classroom experience Monday-Friday, structured setting
  • Experience preferred with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchair bound
