Using the Stoneham Public School’s curriculum, plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students. Create an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of all students. Supervise students in various school-related settings, monitor and evaluate student outcomes, and communicate with students, parents, staff, and the community.

• Plan a program of study that meets student needs, interests, and abilities.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages student involvement and enables each student to achieve learning objectives.
• Provide an instructional program tailored to each student’s needs.
• Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals; establish clear objectives for lessons, units, projects, and communicate these objectives.
• Utilize instructional methods, resources, and evaluation techniques that motivate and enable students to achieve learning objectives.
• Take necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Build relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community that respect each individual.
• Evaluate own effectiveness and apply acquired skills to improve professional competence.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Work is primarily in a classroom setting with prolonged standing and occasional bending, stooping, or reaching.

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of education from an accredited institution.

• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Full-Time (Classroom Teacher – Elementary)

Salary will be determined by the Stoneham Public Schools–Stoneham Educators Association Salary Schedule effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
