Reports to: Building Principal

General Responsibilities: Using the Stoneham Public School’s curriculum, plan and provide learning experiences. Create a supportive environment for intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth. Supervise students in various settings, monitor and evaluate outcomes, and communicate with students, parents, staff, and community.

• Plan a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages student involvement and achievement of learning objectives.
• Provide instructional programs to meet the needs of all students.
• Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals, establish clear objectives, and communicate them.
• Utilize instructional methods, resources, and evaluation techniques that motivate students.
• Take necessary safety precautions to protect students and school resources.
• Build respectful relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community.
• Appraise own effectiveness, apply learning to increase effectiveness, and maintain professional competence.
• Perform other duties as required.

Work involves student interaction, primarily in a classroom setting with prolonged periods of standing. Occasional bending, stooping, or reaching may be required.

• Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.

Base salary range: $62,751 to $118,335, depending on experience and qualifications, as per the Stoneham Public Schools – Stoneham Educators Association Salary Schedule effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
