High School Math Teacher

SEEM Collaborative is seeking a skilled and compassionate High School Math Teacher with strong content knowledge and experience supporting students with severe social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The successful candidate will be certified and have experience designing engaging, differentiated instruction that meets the needs of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and diverse learning profiles.

This position is ideal for an educator who values collaboration, creativity, and inclusion—and who can integrate math instruction with social-emotional and behavioral supports in a thoughtful, student-centered way.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and Massachusetts DESE certification in Mathematics (8–12) required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with high school-aged students with intensive needs in creative, sensitive, and thoughtful ways
  • Experience designing and implementing differentiated, standards-aligned math instruction
  • Strong understanding of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and how to align instruction to IEP goals
  • Knowledge of assessment strategies and the ability to use data to inform daily instruction
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Scope of Duties
  • Design and implement engaging, individualized math lessons for students in grades 9–12 that align with state standards and IEP goals
  • Differentiate instruction using accommodations and modifications
  • Collaborate with special educators, paraprofessionals, clinicians, and related service providers to support academic and behavioral growth
  • Maintain thorough and instructive documentation, communicating student progress with families and team members
  • Use a participative classroom management approach that fosters safety, structure, and respect
  • Integrate clinical and therapeutic supports into daily instruction
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where all students can succeed
  • Provide supervision and support for paraprofessionals as needed
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to SEEM's professional learning community
  • Must be willing to work with verbally and/or physically aggressive students Employment is contingent upon passing a SAFIS fingerprint and CORI screening.
