North American Family Institute, Inc., (NAFI), a non‑profit human services organization, is seeking a Payroll Supervisor
. The payroll supervisor is responsible for leading all aspects of payroll processing and preparation in a fast‑paced environment for 1500 employees in multiple states using Dayforce Platform. This position will also be responsible for the review of completed tax filings at the federal, state and local levels.
- Responsible for the preparation and processing of bi‑weekly payroll
- Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation (e.g. time sheets, leave time) to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures
- Reconcile Payroll hours paid to weekly time sheet postings
- Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local withholding requirements, including setting up new accounts with agencies.
- Work closely with human resources department to coordinate new hire set ups, benefit deductions, and final check for terminated employees
- Processing and payment of wage garnishments
- Resolves unemployment tax and withholding issues and prepare unemployment payments for processing
- Balances periodic, monthly, and quarterly payroll and tax files.
- Coordinate preparation of W-2’s
- Printing and mailing off‑cycle and paychecks.
- Responsible for payroll related content on our Dayforce platform.
- Research and implement updates related to new payroll regulations
- Reconciliation of payroll bank account
- Acts as a point person for payroll team members for trouble‑shooting problems and concerns.
- Will collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance and other departments as needed to complete required payroll analyses and projects.
- Supervise, provide training and support to current/new team members as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a payroll department
- Experience with Dayforce
- Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel and Internet Explorer
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
- Supervisory experience
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 based on experience
