Responsibilities
- Coordinate Claims:
Manage day-to-day claims across workers' compensation, auto, general liability, and property lines. Track incidents, notify carriers, and coordinate directly with adjusters and appraisers. - System Management:
Maintain accurate internal claim records and serve as a resource for agency-wide risk management tools. - Regulatory Compliance:
Complete required external reporting, including Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and OSHA compliance documentation. - Committee & Leadership Support:
Prepare routine reports for leadership and insurance partners. Record and distribute meeting minutes for the Corporate Risk & Safety Committee. - Insurance Renewal Support:
Collect critical exposure data, including vehicle schedules, property details, and employee (FTE) counts. - Relationship Building:
Build effective working relationships with NAFI program staff to respond to routine risk and claims-related matters in a timely manner
- Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. - Experience:
2+ years of relevant experience in risk management, insurance, or claims coordination. - Software
Skills:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to learn specialized insurance software. - Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. - Client Service:
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong client-service mindset.
