Studio Manager – Massage & Skincare Studio

Are you a high-energy leader who loves working with people, driving sales, and building successful teams? We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Studio Manager to lead our established massage and skincare studio.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is passionate about health and wellness and understands that exceptional client experiences, strong team performance, and sales growth go hand in hand.

As Studio Manager, you will have a direct impact on the success of the studio by leading and developing our team, growing memberships and service sales, increasing client retention, and ensuring the studio operates at the highest level. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, team performance, client satisfaction, sales, revenue growth, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate is a natural leader, strong communicator, and confident sales coach who can set clear expectations, hold a team accountable, recognize opportunities, and motivate others to achieve results.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of massage therapists, estheticians, and Wellness Membership Advisors/front desk associates.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and develop team members.
  • Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving individual and studio goals.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve individual performance through ongoing coaching and development.
  • Build a positive, energetic, and professional team culture where employees feel supported, motivated, and accountable.
  • Lead by example and actively participate in the day-to-day success of the studio.
Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Drive membership sales and overall studio revenue.
  • Lead the team in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Coach team members on effective sales conversations, appointment renewals, upgrades, enhancements, gift cards, and retail sales.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through client retention, rebooking, service upgrades, enhancements, memberships, and skincare retail.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and take action when goals are not being met.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and promotions designed to increase revenue and client engagement.
  • Build a culture where every team member understands their role in growing the business.
  • Recognize and celebrate team successes while addressing performance gaps quickly and effectively.
Client Experience & Retention
  • Ensure every client receives a welcoming, professional, personalized, and exceptional experience.
  • Create a studio environment that reflects the quality and professionalism of our brand.
  • Handle client questions, concerns, and service issues with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
  • Develop strategies to improve client retention, rebooking, membership engagement, and overall satisfaction.
  • Monitor client feedback and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience.
  • Build strong relationships with members and clients to encourage loyalty and referrals.
Business Development & Community Engagement
  • Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups to increase studio awareness and generate new business.
  • Establish and maintain community connections with organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, local schools, police and fire departments, and other community partners.
  • Identify local marketing and partnership opportunities that can generate new clients and increase membership growth.
Studio Operations
  • Oversee daily studio operations and ensure the business runs efficiently and professionally.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, therapist availability, service flow, and studio capacity to maximize productivity and revenue.
  • Monitor staff schedules and make adjustments based on business needs and client demand.
  • Ensure the studio consistently meets cleanliness, sanitation, health, safety, and operational standards.
  • Oversee inventory of massage supplies, skincare products, retail products, linens, and other studio supplies.
  • Ensure front desk and operational procedures are followed consistently.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve productivity and profitability.
Financial & Administrative Management
  • Manage studio labor costs, operating expenses, inventory, and overall profitability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including membership sales and growth, client retention, rebooking and appointment volume, revenue and sales performance, retail sales, service utilization, staff productivity, and client acquisition.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports and use the information to make informed business decisions.
  • Oversee daily cash reconciliation and reporting.
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in POS, scheduling, and client management systems.
