Position: Veterinary Technician - Central Animal Hospital

Overview

Central Animal Hospital is located in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Stoneham is a town in Middlesex County known for its parks, outdoor recreational activities, cultural scene, and strong emphasis on education. We pride ourselves in being part of this community and providing excellent care to the pets and clients within it.

We are actively seeking an experienced veterinarian technician. The ideal candidate will be confident working with the veterinarians and technicians, comfortable rooming patients, assisting in surgery and recovery, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint, knowledge of x-ray and positioning, drawing blood and running bloodwork, able to use laboratory equipment, understand the importance of client education, be a positive and supportive team player, and strive to continually increase knowledge in the veterinary industry while remaining calm in a high-stress environment.

Pay Range: Up to $27.00 based upon experience

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician
  • Knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
  • Understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Positive and supportive team player
